I was born in Sparta and have lived here my whole life. I've been doing hair since I was little. Once I got to high school and joined groups I would do up-dos for my cheer team & my bowling team. I did hair for both the proms that I attended. Eventually I decided to turn my passion into a career.
After graduating high school I attended beauty school at the PHD Academy in Eau Claire. After graduation, I endeavored on a 4 month apprenticeship at Salon Medusa, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, where I continued my career as a stylist until my debut as a business owner in 2011. At the time, I had no idea my passion for hair would lead to me being the entrepreneur I am today.
I thought I was going to be limited to doing hair, but I've learned over the years if you want to be the best you need to push yourself to do, and be, more. So I taught myself how to do extensions, intricate shave designs, customizing airbrushing, costume and prop making. I do airbrush art, customize clothes, face painting and have many more outlets for my artistic spirit. I also take educational classes to stay up to date on techniques. It is my firm belief that you are only as good as you push yourself to be. I strive to BE the best and GIVE the best. I have been a hairdresser for 15 years.
Before I became a professional hairdresser many of you knew me as an artist. I've had a genuine passion for art my entire life. I have a keen eye when it comes to the arts. Be it hair, clothing or fashion I see at least 75% more untapped potential than others see. I'd like to say that's how I do my job as a hairdresser. I can see what other people can't see, what cuts and colors a person can pull off, as well as looks they can't.
I'm one of the most honest hairdressers and hair health is my main priority. I will tell you what you need to do to your hair and what you need to stop doing to your hair so it can reach it's full potential.
I have a real passion for what I do. I grew up in a small town. I want to give everyone an amazing, luxurious service at a reasonable "small town" price. I've owned my own salon for 9 years. I have big plans for my future including, one day, owning a 5 to 7 station salon complete with a customized clothes section. I will also continue doing the many fun events that allow me to demonstrate my wide variety of skills.
My wish is to bring luxury back to this town by giving you an unforgettable experience from the moment you walk into The Edge Salon.. I hold myself to a high standard. I try to give the best! I love all of my clients and they mean so much to me. I just want them to feel as special about themselves the same way they make me feel special by letting me be their hairdresser.
but are not limited to:
Utilizing the ultimate in hair care products such as the Paul Mitchel Signature Line, I strive to create designs and color to help each client feel and look their best not only when they leave the salon, but each and every day they spend rockin' The Edge.
